Output and preview
Yink Studio sends prepared output by rows while the rest of the image continues processing.
- Prepare white ink with mode, threshold, density, choke, mirror, and layer order.
- Use soft-proof preview, then confirm actual output with a sample.
- Mapped physical channels output zero when their mapping is Off or unavailable.
Presets and projects
Printer, ink, and quality presets are layered. System presets are read-only.
Local interface preferences
Theme, language, and units do not change project print-process settings. The preset ink channel mapping is the recommended mapping for the selected printer profile. On a four-channel machine, the white physical channel is fixed and cannot be changed. Enforcement of the white-channel lock in the client UI is pending.
Printer maintenance (26.9.2)
Supported Epson profiles expose nozzle checks, head cleaning and power cleaning in Maintenance. Check the selected printer and its Windows queue before sending a command. White-area cleaning runs after a physical job exceeds the configured threshold; Print to File does not add area. Set the threshold to 0 to disable it. Timed cleaning is off by default; it runs only while the app is open and that printer is selected. Offline or paused queues defer automatic cleaning. Queue acceptance does not prove that the printer has completed cleaning.
Cleaning consumes ink and waste-ink capacity. Follow the printer instructions and check ink levels; power cleaning requires a separate confirmation. Review automatic cleaning settings before enabling them and supervise the connected equipment.
